I'm pleased to say, not at all, Dan. Because the wheelbase is so short and the battery sits at one end of the truck, I had to add some lead sheet to equal the load. Other than that it runs very smoothly.

From its location I wonder if it has anything to do with spreading de-icer on the track? But why the brake hose, unless that is the filler tube?

As with all competitions you enter for two reasons.... firstly for fun, but secondly to compare your work with others in the hope it is recognised as being better. BUT..... in such cases of mixed types, who is qualified to judge? As a MOTY winner myself I think it would be almost impossible for judg...

Once the plan of action is formed in my head I go for it with determination. Because I work in my 'Engine Shed' (everyone should have shed!) I can concentrate on the pro...

Hi Philip, thanks for the suggestion. I wonder though if your idea could be reversed, ie. fix the plug part underneath the vehicle and use the smaller socket part as a connector? That way it should be less obtrusive.

So its been a while and once again parts of the railway are no longer there or have been altered considerably... all because of this little chap... But you have to love him........ he's gorgeous! The water and stinky ears problem are a Springer thing. Our two are just the same. BTW.... the locos an...

I think I can unveil the project tonight. How to scratch-build a 4 wheel wagon

This is a 'how to'..... for a 4 wheel truck for a very special purpose on my railway. It may seem unconventional and not the way you would normally work, however, I have built this way before and I can assure you it works! First thing is to have the component parts..... ./myff/1903473/IMG_2998.JPG T...

Alan, I have described the long and frustrating search I had for suitable lettering elsewhere on this Forum, but briefly it was specially made for me by a local printing company. It was drawn out to my design and size on their computer screen then produced in a laser cut A4 white vinyl sheet so the ...
