That has to be one of the least looking toy like Mamod's I have seen - you should of kept the brass dirty though ;)

As for a name, it looks like a 'Donald' to me for some reason?

I like the idea of the running boards but not sure how this is going to fit or what it would look like.

Anyone got pics of a NG prototype that may look similar?

Tom

Great ideas keep em' coming!

I put to much effort into my builds to swap them - even if they are only going to be sitting outside as junked ;)

Abandoned coach

Inspired by others layouts I thought I would have a go at building an abandoned coach that has been lifted to the trackside on some sleepers: /myff/tom_tom_go/SANY0802.jpg /myff/tom_tom_go/SANY0800.jpg I have no real plan with this one - will just see how it turns out and make it up as I go along al...

As long as you like it Rob then that's all that matters, it's your stock and your railway.

I like it ;)

In the first picture it looks like you have stuffed one of those Good Luck Troll toys from the 80's down the funnel ;)

I perfected my 'screws under the sleeper' method of laying track (yes I know I make work for myself) :) It does give great results though for level running and also means you cannot see any nails/screws through the sleepers: /myff/tom_tom_go/SANY0789.jpg /myff/tom_tom_go/SANY0792.jpg Screws are posi...

Great stuff Matt.

I have half an IP coach kit I intend to 'leave' somewhere on my line when it's finished as a workman's hut or store.

If you are unsure then it would be best to have it done professionally as these loco's cost enough as it is so to then ruin them with a bad paint job you will regret for a long time!

I think when you use Macs a lot you do get used to the speed and the ease they do things, because even the pc's at work seem slow to me! Compared to Open source and OS X operating systems yes Windows is the worst of the lot for being power hungry, however, since 2006 'Macs' have used the same archi...

I'm sorry that updating did not work - did you do the firmware on the Reader as well BTW? I'ts a bit difficult to help further without being in front of it all. These along with the rest of them are a bit of an 'iPhad' in my humble opinion and really does not compare to having a real book (this is c...

The following might help:

If you don't have the PRS-300 just choose the model you have.
