Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
I'll be very interested in the cab detailing when you start that. It will either look like a children's toy or Concorde.... I need some guidance I think! I've used a YouTube video for guidance, in particular this one https://youtu.be/5hgtrt0-asY?si=SGhL__hG5lBKLQ-E which has nice cab views. Plenty ...

You certainly come up with some ingenious solutions to the problems that modelling throws our way. I'm looking forward to the next instalment

Oops!
Hopefully you will get replacement parts, but if not it shouldn't be too difficult to make your own. Fingers crossed

Re: Deltang Tx22 problems and solution
Thanks for the heads up on this Philip. I have recently started to have some issues with my TX22, whereby control of my Boulton locomotive almost appears to be suffering from interference. I need to do more testing using other locomotives on the same TX first to see where the problem may lie.

Again, it's the other way around, it's garden train related, but has a real model. https://www.mylargescale.com/threads/mt-washington-cog-rr-build.90900/ in Action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xeb2xgGG-o Also very worth seeing  Greetings from Austria, Gerald ;) Thanks Gerald, That is a ...

Fantastic photo, by the way. It almost looks like a winking face with that offset hooded window.

Re: A relaxing watch.
Very nicely-filmed. I wonder why the tender wheelset has a cog on it's axle.. I think it's a third connection to the rack. Obviously the tender and loco are a set and presumably the weight of the tender (especially when loaded) helps with adhesion on those ridiculously steep parts! EDITED to add: D...

Looking good Aaron. I'm sure you'll make an excellent job of it whichever spec/colour you opt for, let alone the weathering opportunities.

A relaxing watch.
I found this video on YouTube yesterday. It's train related, but not a garden railway. The quality of the recording is stunning, as are the colours and traction. I would certainly recommend watching on as big a screen as possible to enjoy the splendour. An excellent way to while away 37 minutes. htt...

That looks to be well thought out, and clever use of plastic rainwater pipe for the legs. I look forward to seeing how it develops.

That's a really effective technique Rik, and it wouldn't even need to be a steam iron. Making the former looks like the hardest part of that job.

Great video as usual Rik. I particularly like the end scene (December) - that slight incline really adds a level of realism to the whole scene.

Re: Nolwyn Valley Tramway
That's fabulous. Mamod use (or used to) a coiled wire like miniature curtain rod for the drive bands, cut to length and just 'screwed' into its other end. Certainly more durable than elastic - just cut to the length required and 'screw' the narrowed end into the other. https://www.mamodonline.co.uk/...
