its a shame you wont be coming to the steam up tomorrow joe as i have the drawings for the bug boxes and the templates all cut out and ready to go that i could have lent you.

try wickes/ buildbase/ jewsons/ travis perkins for breeze blocks.

the garden centre is a good place to pick up rock. also worth checking out freecycle as there is often people getting rid of rocks etc on there (i got mine from someone removing a rockery)

a coach chassis isnt hard to build joe. you can buy axleboxes and wheels from various places and then you can use strip wood to build a basic frame. by building the chassis yourself you can be sure to get what you want.

as an aside, what sort of small ffest carriage are you thinking of?

its important to make sure you also know the thread size you require for boiler bushes. once you have your bush and have drilled the opening you then need to silver solder the bush in place. one thing worth bearing in mind, when you silver solder the bush it expands and the threads can change pitch ...
