IP Engineering build help needed

I'm currently building a Christmas present of a goods wagon IP22. Building the axle box but can't see where the four little strips will fit. From the instructions it looks like they're the 'tie rail'? But any idea where exactly they go? The pic in th instructions aren't that clear?? https://i.imgur....

The incompatibility of couplings! I had a couple of IP Engineering Roundhouse style buffers spare & reckoned they could be adapted to fit. I cut off the threaded studs, used the hook hole for the mount & file'd down the body to fit into the chopper pocket. ./myff/2035993/Accucraft+Coupling+...

Accucraft Coupling replacements - what do you use?

On my Ragleth I removed the end of the chopper and just use the hook to attach my (mainly) IP engineering rolling stock with chains.

The end of the chopper is open though and frankly doesn't look great. What do others use to couple if you don't use the std accucraft chopper coupling?

I did think about that, but couldn't find a suitable watch. If only I'd spotted your thread!! Can you repost a link to the thread or to where you got them if it wasn't on the original thread? I made the tops of the towers removable so there is still the opportunity to fit something like this in plac...

p.s. the white streaks on the right tower isn't the paint weathering badly. No that's the birds getting rid of all the digested seeds that my wife insists on feeding them! :?

Took a while, but here it is in situ with some modeltown figures.

Holding up well to the weather, might need a little bit of maintenance to change the roof material on the small flat areas behind the towers but apart from that the foamboard is doing well.

By drainage do you mean actual guttering that works? The flat roof parts will be a tough one, as there should be a over shoot to the roof below, then a hopper either end of each apex with a downpipe to the ground, of course on any straight bit of roof striaght guttering with downpipes down the wall...

Used some of the humbrol rust weathering powder and tried matt cote and thinner to get it to run. There are some good video how-tos from humbrol on YouTube that I got the ideas from

Late summer running on the Methley Joint

Couple of engine shots, it was the Ragleth doing most of the running with Feanor sat on a branch line with a flat battery!

Jon & Jim, if only I had read your post earlier this week!  :D All the tiles are attached now, I spent a few days in the office this week with blackened fingers!! (thankfully no mishaps around the church, just on my hands). Invested in a box of surgical gloves for next time! Will put up some pos...

Small Flags?

Here's an odd question. Does anyone know whether you can get small flags that would be suitable in size for a garden railway?

Suspect sizing wise it would need to be around 2in in width max.

After a polyester one or similar, something that could stand being outside all the time.

It's a pot of roofing felt adhesive (not tar). Just need to be careful with it as it gets everywhere!! The pot I had could be applied with a brush (use an old one though as I never got it clean!!)

For info the stuff I've used is:

Keen - Top Crystal Clear : Nitoracrylic Spray - Transparent

I think I got it from the same place as the decal paper

I've just noticed that somehow I missed the last post on the previous page, about the windows. I've never thought of doing them like that but it's a brilliant idea. My only concern is whether the waterslide transfers will remain in place and the inkjet ink not run, outside when it rains? However it...
