The reason I'm saying nothing definitive is because he's been onboard for my topdrawer project 'Nova - he's cast new bodywork both side and cabfront, has fitted Talyllyn-a-like spokes to my Dream Steam disc wheels and is fixing a steampipe-lubricator for me. The first two pieces he has shown me pho...

Seems the only ones not on the ball are Roundhouse. Well then it seems like a sound business decision then doesn't it, excluding all the Roundhouse and Accucraft owners from your client base! Somehow I don't think people are going to stop buying Roundhouse engines in favour of something else which ...

I've talked to someone who was likewise unenthusiastic about doing this, and whose engine spontaneously reversed itself en route before refusing to move at all because the return cranks came loose. But I'm inclined to wait and see myself, maybe until I have the cab off again for some other reason, o...

No, it's the return crank, the little wobbly bit that works like an eccentric to move the expansion link back and forth. On a real engine it attaches to the extended shaft on the main crank on the rear wheels with a great big bolt that tightens it onto the shaft. On the roundhouse engines it attache...

That is very impressive. If I had a coach like that one I'd have to find a nicer-looking locomotive to pull it, and it would be the beginning of a vicious circle!! As an aside, I'm always inclined to think a little better of a person when I see a little traction engine or roller parked at the back o...

I've been looking at coaches myself and have come by the impression that the brandbright kits don't come with wheels, and you have to buy the bogies separately and the wheels separately from the bogies! Correct me if I'm wrong. If I'm NOT wrong, then I am more inclined to order an IP coach, because ...
