Thanks Everyone.

She has that effect everywhere she goes Peter, people just fall in love with her! They don’t live with her though...

Re: The Charlwood Light Railway (CWLR)

No idea why I've missed over a week's worth of updates to this thread. Really enjoyed the videos - I do enjoy slow running and shunting operations. You can sometimes resurrect failed lipos by putting them on a nicd trickle charge cycle for a few minutes to bring them to a safe level for the normal ...

Re: The Charlwood Light Railway (CWLR)

A few days ago I said that I needed some more carriages. I’m planning on adding a couple of Swift16 bogie Carr’s to the roster later in the year, but two distinct trains would be nice for busy days. So, I picked up a couple of these from my local garden railway supplier, with the intention of anglic...

Re: TVT - Start of Steam Operation

Hi Graeme, Your locos and rolling stock are superb. As I’ve said in an earlier post they’re right up my street, I model Colonial prototypes in 009. My 009coaching stock even uses the same livery that you’re using! The American style combine in your last set of photos is particularly interesting. I’v...

More maintenance work over the last few days. A few years ago the village suffered a terrible giant Mouse attack. This caused damage to the roof of the middle terraced house, the unpainted hidden side of one of the shops and the shop front itself. Hungry little dear. https://i.imgur.com/fc4tkpj.jpg ...

Was planning on doing just that. Haven’t had time to take the body off yet.

I’ve tried three different sets. The last set (from a brand new box) improved things, but it still won’t hold forward gear.

I am all for natural weathering! The tag system is a nice idea even if they are over scale... Any chance of a video of your Lady Anne? I did once try a more in scale version, but unfortunately I found they just got lost really easily. They generally only get used whilst I’m storing stock anyway. I ...

Re: The Charlwood Light Railway (CWLR)

Speaking of operating like a real railway.... Since introducing battery power to the railway a couple of years ago, I’ve inadvertently killed two li-po batteries by leaving the li-po alarm plugged in overnight. It’s not the most expensive mistake to make, but it is bloody annoying. So I looked to th...

Thanks Guys. Wilma seems to be getting more confident with the trains, she kept barking at one earlier.... Not much activity today, but I was home in time to run the evening ‘Flying Kipper’. Re: The Charlwood Light Railway (CWLR)

Great photos, thank you! I think you've mentioned previously that you've spent time volunteering on the Ffestiniog, and I reckon it shows in how you operate your railway - nice and busy, with lots going on, but done in a realistic fashion. When I watch the FR's webcams I always enjoy the amount of ...

Re: The Charlwood Light Railway (CWLR)

Thanks Guys! Definitely a headache to get it all right, but having had the first running session today it has definitely been worth it! Rik, thanks for sharing those pictures. Those trainline R2 points might be just what I need to replace the last mainline R1 point on the railway, the one for the ba...
