Bogies

I need some advice please on some bogies. I have a railbus that will not run at all on my newly laid extension track, it wouldn't run on the old track either.... The trouble is I think, the bogies are too far forward and the whole body rolls all the time. I am thinking that the bogie needs to ...

Re: Workbench protection

I also use the largest cutting mat you can buy, they are a little bit expensive, but has Peter said, The Works" do them cheaper than most. My little worktop is used a lot, I bought it off Amazon, there are other sites on the inter web.... It is lightweight but very strong, with metal legs that ...

Re: A bit of time in the shed

Just carry on Steve with how you are doing things. I think you're doing an absolutely brilliant job and it just shows what you can achieve without all the modern stuff, though they do have there place, skills like your's are disappearing fast.... :thumbright:

Re: A bit of time in the shed

It all depends Tom. Pilot holes are just that, a pilot hole, to help with locating a bigger bit. But mostly I would use engineers blue and then a centre punch when ever I drilled holes, there was no danger of the bit wondering off then.

I need a corrugation roller just like that too..... when you have time! I'm sure there will be a waiting list before long.

I will be second in line for a roller please.

Your water tower is absolutely brilliant. Some great thought and ideas are put together to make a superb water tower.

I use a Dremel type disc also.
Quick and accurate with no slipping with blades getting its first bite.

Re: Larger scale Stuff

They do look really nice locos Tom, but well out of my league price wise. My older brother has made 4, 5" gauge and a couple of 3 1/2" also. The one he is most proud of has cost £4,000 to build, but he does have one that is worth £28,000... Needless to say he is a snob when it comes to my ...
