Mmm, maybe for my next loco ;)

The video of the Class 66 is good when it has to push the brick, lot's of smoke:

I think with some heavy wagons a slow and smokey 16mm loco could be made with this kit.

Micro layouts are satisfying to build (and you finish them!) I just sold my OO micro layout as I was not really using it anymore, however, it was fun to build and operate and only 1000mm x 1000mm in size: http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e339/pochicken/OO%20trains/DSCN0211_zpsc0a7e9d7.jpg Look forw...

Cleaning the gas jet is a good place to start and is easy to do so don't worry.

If I can do it you can :)

Congratulations and good recovery mentioning the misses ;)

If possible purchase a safety valve bonnet as it will finish the loco off nicely.

Cheers,

Da dah! /myff/tom_tom_go/DSCN0341_zpsea3ba04d.jpg (Thanks to Chris Bird for his advice along with his paint guide!) I am going to paint the roof the same colour and mod it as shown as I do not like the imitation sliding roof vent that RH use and the big hole that is drilled for the aerial to poke ou...

I use a cheap supermarket filter for rain water filtering and it works fine (we live in a hard water area and use the same filter jug for our kettle and it is as clean as a whistle) :)

Most modern Roundhouse locos will go round a 2ft (600mm) radius curve although fit the largest curves you can possible for smoother running.

I think the phrase rhymes with clicking bell... Don't use Wickes Heat Shield Spray paint as it is complete rubbish for locos as it does not cure until it reaches at least 315°C. I only found this out after spending ages spraying the smoke box for my SL and now every time I touch it just starts to ru...

Thanks Brian. Chris Bird kindly replied to my email about it and explained RH use Loctite on them so to remove it you need to heat the cap up. I did this using a gas ring on my cooker and it finally came off!

I've been following the thread with interest! :-) What timber did you use for your "shelf"? My local DIY place only seems to do treated timber 10cm wide which really isnt wide enough. Realistically I want double that.... I used Wickes wooden gravel boards which are at least 15cm wide. Wha...

Removing copper capped chimney

Does anyone know please how to remove this part from a RH Silver Lady or is it glued on during construction?

Cheers!
