Re: First time scratchbuild project - Bagnall steam loco
..... if you are reading this, Rik, thanks very much! ..... I am, and I'm delighted my ramblings have inspired someone to have a go themselves My loco will be based (loosely!) on the Bagnall 2-4-0 locos that ran on the Rye and Camber Tramway. An excellent choice - by coincidence, that was going to ...

Not only looks good, it sounds good too. What sound unit are you using?

My latest. Probably of minority interest only, but I enjoyed shooting it. Trying to figure out the best camera positions was trickier than working out the shunting logistics.

They look particularly effective. Subtly weathered and plenty of fine detail.
I especially like seeing the pair with the match truck between them. I wonder if they ever ran with two match trucks for longer loads??

Clever idea to add those sidings outside the garage storage area.

Re: CDR Railcar No. 10
I was looking at some photos of Irish railcars lately, including the ones that ended up on the IoM - are you sure you couldn't be tempted into "updating" your passenger livery for this new-fangled form of motive power with a nice cream stripe??! https://www.flickr.com/photos/25337191@N04/...

Good to see some developments, Andrew, and a bit of sunshine.
I like alpines as well, even though the flowers are out of scale. My current bane is sycamore seedlings. Why do they take root so easily when things I want to grow find every excuse not to!!

Great set of pics, Grant. You have a knack of capturing atmosphere - the 'quick cuppa' shot is a fine example.

Re: CDR Railcar No. 10
All the seats are now printed, the passenger trailer is more or less finished and so today received a couple of coats of primer. IMG_0587.JPG . IMG_0588.JPG . IMG_0590.JPG . Still a fair bit of filling and sanding to go and also a few more fittings needing to be made and attached - but she's beginni...

Both seem to be fine now.
Both blogs looking good. I think the structure now works well. Your construction logs are a bit like my progress reports.
Glad you manage to find time for your H0 layout. I can't remember the last time I did anything on my indoor 00 railway....

...... I like to make up stories. The hard part is keeping them short. I always seem to have too much video. Me too. I reckon on shooting at least twice as much as I actually use. I worked for a while alongside a professional videographer and he told me that 'in the business' they usually work on a...

Fascinating build. It's amazing how much detail can be achieved with laser cutting.

That's turned out well, Peter. I'll be interested to see how the two versions of the same IP Engineering kit compare.

Just catching up with this thread. I think this is a great example of one of the forum's strengths - the sharing of ideas and supportive viewpoints. Also good to see the quality of modelling inherent in our membership.
Love the additional detailing you've added, Andrew.
