I’d have to come to terms though with the psychological scarring brought about by their unpleasant appearance and having had to travel behind (or in front of) them no more than s...

Yes, regular spray mist watering would be the way to go I think, but not excessive.

Re: Pen-Y-Bont A new portable garden layout

A brilliant concept for bringing the garden layout with all its botanical assets to the exhibition hall.
Modular rail modelling at its best. Well done and good luck with it.

Congratulations to your Mum. She looks happy and healthy. Long may it continue thus. My Mum is a mere whippersnapper at 91.

Re: A Wickham trolley

I think that somewhere I have an old copy of RM with a scale drawing of the later style Wickham trolley and trailer. Standard gauge. I believe they were often kept in a lineside shed equiped with a miniature turntable to put them onto a siding.

Re: Something a bit unusual !

I will be watching with interest. I fancy building something similar maybe based around a mamod VB unit.
The centre vestibule gatestock are attractive vehicles. Got a drawing of one in an old magazine.
Will you be finishing yours in salmon pink/chocolate brown?

This is a stunning model. The curves on the bodywork are quite subtle but you have absolutely nailed it.

Another folk enthusiast here, who often attends the Rochester Sweeps Festival. There seems to be a close harmony between rail enthusiasts, real ale drinking, morris dancers and canal boaters.

One of your best yet, but I'm biased. A big fan of the 73's, I was unaware that they had gone North. Your model captures the simple elegance of these machines perfectly. Hats off indeed!

Re: The Reading and Squamish Light Railway Stock Thread

I asked a clockmaker friend if he had any small nuts and bolts. He said 'How small? 'I said 'Ooh, 6BA? He replied 'That's enormous!'
Nevertheless, he found some for me. Know any clock repair people?
