Re: Cheapo diesel sound card

Except it says it can't be shipped to the UK.. Phil.P I must be special then? :dontknow: akiexpress1.png Steve, whats the link for that one then? The previous link was only 40 pence, reduced from £35!! I'm just thinking it might go in my little German diesel, although the blurb says it needs to be ...

Re: IP Engineering Wickham trolley

I won't be fitting it, and I don't condone Lithium cells in holders. - Properly tagged/welded packs please. I am guessing the customer already has NiMH batteries, and charger. I always try to suggest a solution that works with what the customer already knows and loves.. Case in point: I have a LGB l...

Re: IP Engineering Wickham trolley

Thanks for that..

I have had a query about fitting RC, and the customer is talking about swapping the motor, and using a PP3 battery..

I am wondering if a 3-cell AAA holder will fit, in place of the 2-cell?

IP Engineering Wickham trolley

Does anyone have one of these?

If so, could you post photo(s) of the underside, and give me an idea of the space available for batteries etc.

Many thanks,

You could always weather/rust it?

Though it may take as much time as filling and flatting?

Re: Gmeinder & Co loco

A blackout light, might have been less confusing to returning planes, perhaps?

I was going to say 'better than a landing light'..

I'll get my coat.

Re: HGLW loco tweak

£45 each for the loco and MR603,is £90. A tenner for batteries, and other electronics.. So £25 for the build/paint. Seems a fair price? - I would expect it could have been put together in a couple of hours, if you cracked-on? There seem to be a number of EvilBay sellers who I think like building, an...

Re: HGLW loco tweak

Rik PS Very noisy mechanism, Mr Regner ..... I think some of that, may be due to the speed controller? SW (amazingly) said she liked one of the Regner centre-cab loco's which was in a member to member sale, so I was allowed to purchase it. - The fact it had been converted to battery by Graha...

Don't need a sound system?

I suppose you could animate the driver's arm, to ring a bell?

You wait ages....... And then: IMG_20240207_165748.jpg Phil.P Go for it Phil.... they would look perfect back-to-back. Unfortunately, neither of these two are mine.. Both are to be 'breathed upon'. - Pickup problems on one, and the chassis of the other is suffering from 'mazac rot', so I am having ...

Not sure if this will work? https://gardenrails.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7945 Both Chris and Mike are still around on the Forum, and this was 2013. - So I would assume any changes have been made? If the Brunel is still slop-eccentric, then you can't reverse it without the 'hand of god'. - Though I ...

Having been an Independent Newspaper Roundsman, I have looked it up:
It appears to be a quarterly publication, £9.95.

Came out in October, and goes off-sale in March..

Re: eBay madness

There seemed to be a marked rise in prices for s/h LGB towards the end of last year.. Where as I was seeing items go for perhaps £80-90 they are now going for circa £120.00. This does mean a better 'return on investment' for those I am presently holding, but finding replacements is becoming harder. ...

Re: Semi-scale BR: The Modernisation Plan

That looks rather nice! Obviously 'modern' as it has a welded tender (no rivets). I think it would look good pulling the present Caledonian sleeper stock? So, who is clever enough with PhotoShop, to put it into blue/grey, arrows of indecision livery? I only ask, as an exercise, you understand.. Anyo...
