Tipper wagon wheels

Hi guys,

I'm wanting to convert the wheels on my binnie tippers to metal wheels to help add a bit of weight, and I also think they run better. Is there a manufacturer that sells the correct wheels? I've had a look in the past with no luck.

I think if I didn't get the rivet punch, Keith, I'd probably end up in a similar situation to you and put off starting the kit, which is a situation I don't want to be in! £60 is just far too much for me. I intend on buying a few more kits in the future but I don't kit build very frequently so it ju...

Swift Sixteen

Hi guys, For christmas I've asked for a D class wagon by swift sixteen. I've already looked at the instructions and it says I'll need a rivet embossing press to punch the imitations in the brass. The tool they suggest to use is £62 which is quite a lot. I was wondering if anyone else had another met...

Weathering

Hi Guys, I'm wanting to have a go at some weathering on my models and wondered if anyone could recommend some good weathering publications for garden railway scale? I've seen a few hornby weathering magazines and I would guess the same techniques would apply for larger scale? If anyone could recomme...

Andel Models. Are they still trading? I've not seen anything new for a year, and I've seen a feedback about Andy not replying to messages, is he okay?

Figures

I'm trying to find some figures to populate the garden railway at the moment, quarrymen, driver crew and passengers and also some workers for my penrhyn coaches. I really like the busy bodies figures by Rob but they're quite expensive. I've checked out model town too but I'm not too impressed with t...

Roundhouse 2015

Will Roundhouse be releasing a new loco at the show this year? Any clues as to what it could be?

Laser Cutting

Hello,
I've been interested in making my own models by laser cutting for a while and fancied giving it ago. Would anyone be able to give me some help and tips such as what software to use, somewhere I can get the parts cut, what would to use, etc?

Sorry for sounding very novice at the subject.

New from Accucraft

It'd on the US site at the moment but I hope they sell it in the UK. It's 45mm but hopefully convertable? Would make a great loco to 'kit bash'. http://www.accucraft.com/modelc/AC77-101-C.htm

This was also in the newspaper as well. Think it might have been the metro but I'm not too sure. It is rather sad.

I'm after some butterfly re-railers that were used on narrow gauge quarries for 16mm scale. I know model earth make some 7/8ths scale bu wondered if anyone makes 16mm scale ones?

Also does anyone make jerry cans for 16mm?

Thanks

Accucraft

So on the February news was this little convosation between Accucraft and Rob Bennett... 'Really looking forward to the Hunslet..it will look fantastic…also I heard rumors of a Wren…very nice…any Idea of when the Hunslet will be out…2013 Rob' 'Rob, thanks for that. We don’t have an exact time scale ...
