Re: The Development of the WLR
Looks great, even better now it's been painted. I believe I got the bevel gears from MFA Como https://www.mfacomodrills.com/pdfs/918D-Accessories-PDF.pdf But I've also used Technobots in the past, so I might have got them there https://www.technobotsonline.com/plastic-bevel-gears.html I can recommen...

A good job you didn't enter one of these photos for the Lineside Industries photo comp. My photo wouldn't have stood a chance!
Really great atmosphere created. The yard has a busy feel to it.

Re: NEW FWLR LINE
..... I did by stepping backwards into thin air..   We all do something similar at some point .... Well I did. Except in my case I stepped down off the railway on to a garden chair after cutting the hedge - the chair collapsed and threw me against the railway - I cracked a rib and w...

Good to see you're back in the garden and getting some track down, Rod. Looks like that was a nasty tumble - take care.

Re: 3D double diesel
Thanks Philip Now done! But what a palaver! Tried logging in using my Google ID and went round in circles as it kept asking for the same info and the sending me back to the original page. I then tried registering normally and it kept throwing up a Recaptcha error message, even though there was no &q...

Re: 3D double diesel
I thought you might like it Peter. It was on the shortlist as background music for your B.U.R.P.S. video. I forgot I'd downloaded it until I was looking for some music to fit this video. It seemed to match the subject well.

Well, thanks to everyone who voted for my piccie. I thought there were several others which were equally as good and I'm sure there may have been some forumites out there who could have come up with photos to beat mine. Next quarter's theme ...... Hmmm .... How about "Railway idyll" Someth...

Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library
Hi Jim I have a dedicated Panasonic (HC-V700) video camera for most of my video work. I bought it a few years ago primarily because I wanted a camera with a mike socket as I was planning to take videos of narrow gauge railways I was visiting and needed to be able to use a mike with a furry cover (ak...

Re: The Development of the WLR
Thank you both! Have embedded the video and added larger gaps between text and photos - odd that it wants two spaces to make a 'one space' gap, as I was already adding the one space. Rik - along with Peter Jones' book, your blog has been the other main inspiration for how to go about the scenic wor...

Wow! I feel exhausted just reading about it. The railway seems to be progressing at a phenomenal pace - and there's so much of it, too! Really enjoying following its development.

Re: Viaduct batter
Arthington viaduct in Yorkshire appears to have vertical supports between the arches with a very slight taper on the outside of each support.
