Sight glasses are one design point I do not like about Accucraft's products. I think the top fitting should come off the boiler shell rather than the turret because the Goodall valve can introduce bubbles to the glass. In fact, the only sight glass I will even consult is my Archangel Princess which ...

Very nice, as always! I would love to get my hands on a Rheidol, but being on the other side of the pond is a distinct disadvantage. A friend in Canada just acquired a 1981 Marmaduke that has a resonator whistle that is quite pleasing when blown at 70 psi. Unfortunately, it pulls down the pressure a...

Saed y Parc Question
Greetings,
I am wondering if someone can pass on the return loop radius and main body length of Saed y Parc. I am interested in building an exhibition layout along these lines for our 16mm group in the U.S.
Best regards,
Paul

Keith, It would be great practice for a certain Irish model... Unfortunately, this is a new, old stock Jane from one of the first two batches that a friend is just itching to run. He bought it three weeks ago at the big steamup in Diamondhead, Mississippi and it made an express trip to the (carpeted...

Brian, neither of my mid 80s Roundhouse locos snap open and shut, and both have original safety valves... I have fitted all my 'modern' Roundhouse locos with miniature pop valves from a supplier here in the U.S. and that has made a marked improvement. They open and close with a snap and some emit a ...

There are VERY few 2 1/2 inch gauge tracks left. I know of three tracks in the whole of the western U.S. in private ownership and one club track. Price is driven by several things, two of which are rarity AND desirability. A half built model in a virtually moribund scale will not likely sell for a g...
