Re: North East Victoria Railway
Cant disagree with you there Rod! It wont enter traffic for quite a while theres quite the backlog of RC installations before it gets it spot in the queue. I know what you mean about queues Jake. I have so much to do. Think that's the main problem with our scale of modelling, there's always somethi...

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
This is how I do my Plasticard with the help of Peter's sample he had. This is what I use for my card. fullsizeoutput_14f6.jpeg Then I paint it with grey paint. I try to put it on with one stroke if possible, though depending on the length, one will end up with darker patches, but sometimes it works...

I'll say it again.... 'I'm not an engineer' but I do appreciate your work and description of the methods you employ. We both use different tools and materials but our passions are the same in that we push ourselves to fulfil our expectations of our own abilities and find ways to achieve that. Keep ...

Re: RWLR - Robin Wood Light Railway
My condolences for your loss Tom, sad news indeed. :( I am 67 this year, so I hope to survive a bit longer to use your advice to build a better line. Although Anne does want to be able to get to her Fairy Gardens at the back fence, so lifting it higher I feel will not be an option. But she has given...

For me I would leave it has is Julie. It looks like it could go on for ever, just like a lot of heritage locos. But it's yours Julie, so what ever you decide I am sure it's in a great home. And with Peter to guide you with it, you can't go wrong really.

Just had a look Steve, bet there was a few choice words. Seriously though, when I worked on Flat grinders and Central Lathe Grinders, the first thing the old Engineer told me was " They don't have any feeling, so take your time and always think" That was some of the best advice I got in my...

Re: Another Wild Rose Project
For someone who has very little experience with lathes Steve, I think you are doing a fantastic job. And the guys are giving you some very good advice and you will get even better with their help. It won't be long before your Lathe will get to look like an apprenticed trained skilled Engineer..... :...

Your rolling stock is sure coming along Peter. Soon be behind a loco and a video of them hopefully. Can I suggest if I may taking your builds as you go along outside (Weather permitting) to take some photos. I know it may seem a bit of a pain in the backside, but you would get some better photos wou...
