It is down to clean living, total avoidance of stong drink and tobacco and cold showers every morning.

And if you believe that you will believe anything.

Two more steamers to add to the stable.

A very battered pair of B/lowke moguls have been discovered in my late fathers collections of assorted stuff. Goodness knows when they were last steamed. Does any one here run one at all? I will try and post a few pics when I can find the camera. I don't think I will keep them as they don't really f...

I am very sorry but my last pair of crap jokes seem to have killed this thread.

So here goes a slightly better one.

Q What do you get if you cross the Atlantic with The Titanic?

I have built a few in 7mm scale and the go together well. May not be the best kits (or scratch aids) for someone new to etched brass kits. But with a bit of care they produce good results.

My brick is a cracking engine, very powerful and a great runner. I aquired it very, very cheap many years ago.  (From a well known garden railway supplier who for some reason seems to have no interest at all in sm32) It could do with a little tlc now as it is getting a little tired so I have booked ...

Regarding soldered steam pipes. I aquired a new loco around 1990 that was a bit of a friday afternoon job. No it was a lot of a friday afternoon job with multiple issues. It was returned to the factory and when I got it back it had soldered joints on the reversing block. Which was a bit of a pain as...

Congratulations on winning the blue mammod. I did place a bid on it myself, sorry if I raised the price for you! I may have a blue cab back if you want it (and if I can find it, I will have a look tonight)

I like this idea. Might be hard to get a quarry hunslet up to the speeds required though!
Seriously though aren't the jap bullet trains narrow gauge?

A bit rude of me to ask, but what sort of money did it make and are they sort after?
As it stands it is no use to me. I could use the works and put a new body on it but if people are actually looking for one as it stands it seems a shame to mess about with it if it could go to a loving home.

Jinty Found-Thought Lost, info sought.

I have just un-earthed an 0 Gauge Jinty live steamer that I thought I had lost years ago after my first divorce. I remember that I never managed to get it to work properly, if at all. I have a feeling it may have been made by a company called Brunton. It is a single cylinder, slip eccentric meths fi...

I like the idea of a planked roof. I will have to send the wife into Costalota Money to rob some stirrers. (I am banned after exploding with blue language when we purchased 2 luke warm teas and a bun each and I had to break into a second tenner) I suppose a thin covering of cotton cloth over the pla...

Sorry I should have put the price in the original post. 15 quid for the van and I think the coaches were 20/25 quid. I don't think that card as a roof is too much of a problem. Once it is painted it should be okay, and it is IMHO much simpler to shape than wood. Proof that they are good and strong. ...
