Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library
It occurs to me that there may be a suitable size commercial moulding available that could be used to form the tank side profile, then fix it to a ply frame and skin it with thin polystyrene sheet. If you, or a mate, have a router table, it may be easier to just make a piece of custom moulding. Loo...

Interesting Peter, thanks.
What are they made of?
In design terms they look reminiscent of Festiniog couplings, although I'm no expert.

Andrew, Thanks for enlightening us all on the subject of trains and taillamps! None of us are about to get a visit from the 'Man from the Min' - although watch out for Inspector Isles (where has he got to by the way?). Well actually Mr Isles went missing in action several years ago and after an exha...

Re: Southwold stock
I always think of an engine running light as a "light loco"... therefore it's a 'loco' as far as I'm concerned. Of course, in this day and age of ubiquitous multiple unit passenger trains, diesel or electric, the concept of a separate engine and train is pretty odd to anyone less than abou...

What are you doing about chassis etc? I assume you'll build your own frames but what about motor, gears etc?

That doesn't look too bad at all.
I've often thought about doing a tram loco but never got around to it, so will follow this closely.

Just noticed this. I really don't know never having tried anything like this with the resin printer, but my immediate thought is that standard resin would be too brittle to work well in a stressful situation like coupling rods?

What would set it off but test your steady hand would be some gold lining on the edge of the blue.

Love the drawings, beautiful job. First prints look good too, especially the wheels.
It will be interesting to see how the motion comes out. I wouldn't be to concerend about the connecting rods but not so sure about the piston rods?

I like the blue & cream with a black line, but personally I think to paint the whole overlay black would be way over the top.

Re: IP JESSIE
My problem is that I have a container full of miscellaneous nuts, bolts, washers and screws and have no idea what they are. Whenever I need one, I dip into it, find a bolt of about the right dimensions and then fish around trying various nuts until one fits (a Cinderella moment!). I have one ...
