Like others I prefer gradients although sometimes I wish I could just leave them running and watch like on a flat line. Just make sure you calculate the gradients right. I wouldn't go for anything steeper than a 1 in 40 ( I have, i think, a 1 in 35 which the steamers cope with fine you just have to ...

I'd never came accross that before. Seems quite a resource. maybe it could be added to the resources section if it isnt already.

I particularly enjoyed the FR deviation pictures. Wish i could have been around to do some of that! looks like great fun (and no H&S rubbish!)

If you already have a wooden shell then that is your best option I would say. Plastic sheet with stone effect is another way but if the sheet isnt big enough then it can turn into a difficult job needing to patch it together. If you wanted brick effect however plastic sheet with brick effect would b...

Chuffed to bits. unfortunatley they dont last very long with the size of the batteries in them but they do look great whilst they are on!

Nope flew right round to the bottom of the line where the oppisite grade brought it to a gentle stop!

Maybe I should add that most of those waggons are made from whitemetal and a small amount of wood and all of them have metal wheelsets so they are quite heavy for thier size

Ok so i can confirm that any video convertor did not work for whatever reason. Only tried it once but I shall try it again. seems to have mucked up the playing speeds as the sound is played at full speed and the video half speed so thats confused me.

EDIT ignore all of that. I think it has worked.

Have you been doing the bricklaying yourself? If so you've made a nice job of it. Its harder than it looks.

Video editing software.

Okay so what does everyone use for editing thier videos? I used to use windows movie maker which i had no complaints with until I bought my new video camera and it has now decided it doesn't like my new video format that the new camera uses and crashes all the time so I'm giving up with movie maker....
