Hi Big Jim                 Well I thought I'd take a punt on it - at that price it would be rude not to. It arrived today, well packaged.                  Yep, there were a few bits missing; horns from the roof, electrical bits from the battery holder, the odd seat. But this is a conversion project...

Hi Rik, I've successfully used these http://www.smallscalelights.co.uk/viewitem.php?productid=63 to connect upper and lower halves in a 3v model - smaller than a servo plug/socket. If you need more than two connections, similar products are available with up to 5 connectors. http://www.modeltrainsuk...

Treated myself to a olfa type cutter from The Range yesterday. Three quid well spent! Works very well on plastic and the slice I have across my finger is lovely and straight! (note to self, don't sneeze while cutting plastic) Lol So much for being safer than using a sharp blade! Hope it's not serio...

I have the same issue with my Ragleth regarding the 'oily' running. I'm using the Accucraft recommended 460 steam oil. The radio in mine is a Spektrum DX4e, and has been faultless. It sounds as though you are losing signal between Tx and Rx. Somewhere, someone has mentioned an issue with Rx overheat...

According to the 'Goods & Not So Goods' website, the spelling 'break' was in common use until about 1870.

Hi Philipy,  I'll try to answer your questions in order....   The SBR was neat!   Previously I did try to dilute it but it dissolved in the rain before long.   No needle was fitted!   I didn't think of adding washing up liquid this time but in the event it wasn't neccessary.  The SBR covers the bal...
