As Philip says, good to hear from you again and glad your health problem is behind you. Now that you have run a train you'll be spurred on I'm sure.

The discolouration caused by the Lazer is almost perfect ageing/weathering in one sense. Almost a shame to hide it with paint. They are both very attractive styles, representative of a time when style was as important as function. Nice job Peter.

Re: The Leawarra Nayook Railway
I've just spent two and a half days doing nothing but shunting trucks and Pass. stock around Leawarra yard. Two engines in steam, amazing how long gas and water last cut right back. Engines also look good just sitting in the sun with a wisp of steam at the safety. Only time an engine left the yard w...

Great work, I do envy the fact that you will have great background for photos on that bank. Don't envy that ground work though, still it appears as though formations will stay put. Looking forward to more.

Beautifully weathered Hudson bogie opens with a heavy load, coaches with full length steps, and a nicely shaded Penlan halt, what more could you want!

Re: The Leawarra Nayook Railway
Thanks Fella's, much appreciated. Started some overdue maintenance today, some may have noticed that the wood stack outside the Crib room, and the goods yard ground levels at Nayook have taken on a bit of a lean. Problem, the stakes and sleepers forming the wall have past their use by date (been the...

So I'm telling Pam what I have just learned about the bricks, as soon as I mention Etruria, she pointed out our dining setting by Wedgewood of Etruria and Barlaston. Now I know.

Well I learn something new everyday, thanks Rik for the explanation and the links. I didn't want you to think I was criticizing your brick colour. We have clinker bricks down here but they aren't completely blue like those engineering bricks.

Very handsome building Rik, going to stick my neck out! the brick colour, is that some sort of flint brick, or is the local clay that colour. Just interested! I share your wish for plants to grow quickly to hide the shed, I'm presently trying to "stretch" two plants higher now the ground i...
