A bit rude of me to ask, but what sort of money did it make and are they sort after?
As it stands it is no use to me. I could use the works and put a new body on it but if people are actually looking for one as it stands it seems a shame to mess about with it if it could go to a loving home.

Jinty Found-Thought Lost, info sought.
I have just un-earthed an 0 Gauge Jinty live steamer that I thought I had lost years ago after my first divorce. I remember that I never managed to get it to work properly, if at all. I have a feeling it may have been made by a company called Brunton. It is a single cylinder, slip eccentric meths fi...

I like the idea of a planked roof. I will have to send the wife into Costalota Money to rob some stirrers. (I am banned after exploding with blue language when we purchased 2 luke warm teas and a bun each and I had to break into a second tenner) I suppose a thin covering of cotton cloth over the pla...

Sorry I should have put the price in the original post. 15 quid for the van and I think the coaches were 20/25 quid. I don't think that card as a roof is too much of a problem. Once it is painted it should be okay, and it is IMHO much simpler to shape than wood. Proof that they are good and strong. ...

Van Body Kit Review - Fully Wife Proof
I took a trip up to the Llanfair show on Sunday. I dragged the wife along (saves kissing her goodbye!) and my 18 month old son. The wife seemed slightly more enthusiastic than normal, even to the point of encouraging me to almost buy a 2nd hand Roundhouse Darjeeling!!!!!!!! I did buy a pair of box v...

My steam fleet is slowly coming back to life again. I got one of the Mamods going today. This is a very modifed loco I built up about 20 years ago. Like the Brick it has suffered from storage and house moves but it ran well enough to delight my 18 month old son. (who if the current Mrs Big Jim is re...

Oh I know this one. Every time the Royal Mail changes its terms and condition. They make it harder and more expensive to send stuff. Anyone would think they were running it down to sell it :? I used to run an ebay shop and one of the reasons that I shut it down was the changes that the Royal Mail in...

First Steam up for umpteen years
Decided as the weather was too hot for gardening this weekend that I would attempt a trial steaming of my Archangel Brick. So I dug it out and set it up on blocks and went to find some meths in the workshop, no luck. Off to B&Q to be robbed blind for a pint of meths. Now as we all know the busie...
