Top stuff there. Excellent format, with the tutorial in two halves linked by a cameo of another railway.

Will we see a link to these from the 16mil site? Hope i'm not talking out of turn but this is just the sort of things that people starting out in garden rail might find useful.

Curious to know why the school should require a cashless catering system, especially if it's less convenient than the previous system. I suspect that it has more to do with trialling the thumb print technology in a school environment. I'm very suspicious of any attempt to 'do away' with cash, as wel...

It's a common problem on other modelling fora as well. I heard someone on the radio a couple of weeks back say that the spirit of our times is rage. If you spend any time on the roads for example it is all too obvious.

Excellent pictures yet again PP. 16mm modelling at its best. The lever frame at Fox Jctn looks interesting. Could you throw some light on your method of point control please? Sorry if you've gone over it before but the CVLR thread is a long one to search through.

Wish i could get to the Bertie fest. I'd love to buy a Bertie and intend to when finance allows.
Like many others i'm a bit dubious about the 'unmanly' smokebox.

Maybe there's a P.O. box you can write to who will send, for a consideration, in a plain brown wrapper, a Smokebox Enlarger.  ;)

Great stuff as usual. Your track inspection vehicle reminded me of those used by New Zealand railways ( i think they called them jiggers)

Has your daughter asked for a loco of her own yet?

I like the relaxed informative style and cutting to a taster of another line. A grand tutorial blog.

Lovely! This is one of those lines that shows what 16mm is all about.
Love the buildings along the alley, especially the tin tabernacle, love the moss, the planting out.
I'll enjoy a repeat viewing of that tomorrow.
