MDC make their plates in batches, i.e. enough that will fill at least one sheet of brass. This means that there can be a delay of up to three weeks (in my experience) between order and delivery. A friend of mine put steam heating on his rolling stock a few years ago. It looked very effective on a cold day.

Ooops! Correction: The ex-FR gear was meant to be used on new loco 1003, but was never used as the loco was not completed.

I'm fairly certain it has been converted back. It was adapted to use FR style technology and ran quite well, but there were, I believe, other issues.
