Re: 3D double diesel

Just read your post Rik, I'am sorry.
It amazes me how your skills develop to a level that is just brilliant in want you do and turn out such fantastic models, wether it be buildings or locos. I wish a had a modicum of your skills, then I would be in a truly superb world....

Has Andy stated Peter.
That is truly a work of art, that would grace anywhere it was placed. One day I hope to achieve something resembling your work.

Re: The Potters Orchid Railway

Knowing how hard you and MAM have worked on your line with all the landscaping and permanent way work done, this will be one heck of a line to be very proud of.

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?

Not much happening here at the moment, poor weather recently and not a kit in sight! I did a quick inspection of the railway to check on plant growth, storm damage etc. and discovered this...... IMG_7448.JPG Natural creeper (?) of some sort growing quite realistically up the rear wall of the disuse...

Re: First time scratchbuild project - Bagnall steam loco

Just remember though Tom, no matter which way or how you cut Plasticard, slow and steady is the best. Taking time to cut any material for building models is the best. For cutting Plasticard with a knife I always try to cut along a metal ruler that is clamped down on to the card if possible. And cutt...

Great seeing MAM planting some flora. It won't be long before your line will be the showpiece it deserves.

Re: First time scratchbuild project - Bagnall steam loco

Great start on your loco Tom. Can I help with a suggestion on the holes for the spectacle plate. If you have any wood drill bits, the ones that have the long point, you can drill the plasticard quite easily and get a better finish. I do mine secured on a wooden block with clamps and going slowly wit...

Thanks for your reply Graeme. It looks like the website won't work in European countries I'am afraid :|

Re: Garden Rail Magazine

One thing that is interesting looking at the front page of the magazine, is the article about "Building old kits found at the back of the cupboard"

I am betting we all have something we have almost forgotten about... :dontknow:

Re: Garden Rail Magazine

This is the new front page of the magazine. 1F7668F1-CE62-49EE-8CE0-F82ECC2D353B.jpeg One thing though, since I commented on how thin the magazine was in the May issue, I didn't receive June's until I had to write to Warners and tell them. Then this morning I received a letter to say I had only one ...
