Mamod mk2 Loco Pros and Cons Please

What are the pro's and cons of the mk2 loco? I have heard mixed comments about these simple little Loco's and have been considering getting one perhaps next year or the Thomas Telford loco.

Any info would be greatly received.

I have got some loco body parts that I am planning to paint with halfords car paints. As a primer I will be using upol acid etch 8 and was wondering if it is ok to bake the parts with this acid etch in the kitchen oven? If so does anyone have any tips on how long the parts should be in the oven for ...

Be careful about buying track on eBay as sometimes it can be damaged when being post or the seller just isn't letting up on the real condition of the track.

When buying second hand track I would personally get it from shows, that way you can "inspect" the track for any damage.
