Faces

Has anybody made 3D faces for their locomotives? I'm tempted to try and do this but not sure how to go about it

Looks and sounds splendid! With regard to the R/C, did you have to move two sticks the get rhe loco to move, or just the one? There's a reason for asking - Accucraft locos can be driven on the reverser - you open the regulator manually and vary the forward/reverse to control the loco. This is how t...

First Steam Up

Hi Folks, Due to a very kind local member I've finally had my first ever steam up of my Leader. Needless to say it was an awesome day. Turns out my loco is a) amazing and b) fitted with RC on both the regulator and reverser, which I didn't realize! As it wasn't my own railway filming was limited, bu...

Looking at Model Town at the moment, but the figures don't seem as detailed as I'd like

Model Earth/Busy Bodies 16mm Figures

Has anyone got these? https://sites.google.com/a/gardenrailwayclub.com/club/workshop/busybodies-at-modelearth I'm very tempted as they may solve the problem I have with fitting the driver inside my cab, and they're kind of quirky. However I already have a fireman and I'm slightly worried they may lo...

Just take your loco to Halford's (other retailers are available), they were excellent with me to find genuine GWR custard and cream spray paint. It' helped that the Assistant Manager was also a modeller!

Figures

Hi Folks, I'm looking for a driver to fit in the cab of my Leader, so is going to need to be slightly hanging out of one side of the cab. Any ideas? What's the best produce of scale accurate figures out there? I've always been surprised that 7mm figures are so detailed, but get any larger (16mm/G) a...

I've got two of them that I've repainted to look like German built BR Western Region coaches for a hypothetical 1980s steam railway.

Will probably move them on though as they don't suit my aesthetic now

I've been very tempted by Slater's War Department choppers (16A12) as I'm modelling an approximation of an ex-military 2' 6" railway, but not had the confidence to ditch my nice, cheap and easy Accucraft choppers and go any more complicated!

Re-gauging Newqida

Hi Folks, I suspect this is duplicating some existing threads but can't find what I'm looking for. I've got two Newqida coaches as part of my first big 16mm project, but am having trouble re-gauging them. The Garden Rails article I've read suggests using the Accucraft Z3 wheels (25mm ones) but every...

Have a click on my 'www', I've 2 ACCUCRAFT locos and a rake of 4 wheel coaches built from IP Engineering kits. The link includes a photo of my Lawley with the train showing the matching profile. I've seen the same stock both built as per, but fitted with bogies and also rebuilt using 3 kits to form...

Have considered Swift Sixteen in the longer term, but have picked up two of the cheap and cheerful Newqida coaches to play with. Need to re-gauge them to 32mm though, can anyone recommend somewhere to get 8 32mm accucraft long axle wheels?

Thanks Chris, that' absolutely brilliant. I do have a Leader, but I do have the spare pony truck. I don't however, appear to have an allen key, or at least I haven't found one yet!
