Thanks Zak, I'm glad you approve. You are most welcome to visit but my line is 32mm gauge and I think your Garratt is 45mm, but possibly adjustable?
I'm seriously planning a second Garratt now, most likely a K1, but waiting on suitable power bogies supply.

They do look really good and well thought out to get the best finish. I think you should be quite safe with a spray coat of matt or satin lacquer on both sides to seal them against the weather.
