Hi Nigel,

Glad you like it. The working ones had sprung levers that kept them centralised the lever being pushed in the desired direction and released.

Re: Point Operation

Hi,

Some years ago I made some remotely operated points using rods and 'U' nails connected to a hand operated lever. The system still allowed trains to run through and switch the points themselves. a video of the prototypes might be found interesting.

Re: Peco gauge 1 track

Hello again Paul,

Sorry, I forgot to mention it is only the ground level track that uses Peco G1 track, the raised track uses Peco G45.

Re: Peco gauge 1 track

Hi Paul, The Cardiff Model Engineering Society uses Peco G1 track on its garden railway it having the same code 200 rail that Peco Sm32 uses, other than vintage model locomotives with their deep flanges there has been no problems running any stock on it including G45. I came across this short old video made by a friend of our first 16 mm scale model railway known as Rhydypenau Light Railway and back then 16 mm layout were fairly rare. The locomotives are; an R/C Merlin Maestro, a Mamod and Toucan a modified Mamod.
