wow! Thanks! :) I will add pictures of the new line once it is open for use (it still needs adjustments to get the NGG16 round!) I really do like the third picture down, pity about the orange safety neting in the background, but its a real railway picture with the train in the scenery. Very Nice ! ...

Scenes of the old LVLRly

The LVLRly is almost completely rebuilt, so I though I'd share some classic pictures of the good ol' days; when it was open to the public. :) ./myff/1248786/LVLR_2010_MM_Little%2520Forester.jpg ./myff/1248787/LVLR_2011_Milennium_LV.jpg ./myff/1248788/LVLR_2011_Taliesin.jpg ./myff/1248793/LVLR_2010_M...

Should I get a photo without the tender and post it as a Mildred?
Isn't that cheating? ;)
I'm joking! :)

Great pics everyone!

Forest Classics sell the burners and jets used on the cheddar engines, and they also make gas tanks (although I'm not sure if they made the cheddar tanks).
Forest Classics would be your best bet.

Happy 30th to Roundhouse! To celebrate, I think we should show everyone as many examples of their engineering. ./myff/_1248404/LVLR_2011_Forest%2520Lady.jpg Click to see full size image "Silver Lady" and modified "Katie" doubleheading on the 2nd LVLR ./myff/_1248405/LVLR_2008_Lit...

The IP lasercut carriages are LOVELY kits. I have pretty much every example of the freelanced range. My break/comp. had lighting in the form of a tail light and interior lighting. The drop-light window frames were also modified so that some of the windows were "open" (the guards especially...

When my father modified my Katie all those years ago, I think he used Araldite as well as the 2 screws (the originals replaced by Brandbright GVT style safety chains). The beams were also repainted black, and the overlays painted vermillion.

I think Roundhouse has a winner! :)
Also, leaving water in overnight is ok, as long as the temperature of storage is above freezing. Also I recommend leaving the regulator open; as this prevents the boiler from being under a vacuum and causing damage.
Have fun! :)

Had the Garratt running light engine after modification (the LVLR is being completely rebuilt and isnt a full circuit yet).
I'll make a Youtube video of the Garratt running on another members garden railway.
Cheers for the advice. :)

The ACME SAR kits appeared to have stopped. I had one of the 30 or so beta "B" wagon kits, and that was a dream to put together.
Cheers. :)

It should work, its quite simple compared to the pneumatic brake systems I've seen! I've never made a brake system, my engines arent really taxed with a heavy enough load to run away (They dont on our garden line, because its dead level)! The NGG16 usually has a big load but its so damn slow it does...
