I am glad you like it Danny and I hope it shows that not all raised lines have to be just planks of wood ;)

WD40 is alright for cleaning although I find it just attracts dirt afterwards so white spirit is better.

For lubricating your locos motion use 20w-50 motor oil. I use motorbike oil and it works fine.

Smokey Sophie - A Roundhouse/Riverdale Amy coal fire build

Here I plan to document my build of a Lady Anne with a Riverdale coal fired 'Amy' boiler. The chassis kit is a birthday present, however, I was allowed to open it yesterday (because I am a child really) so I got started straight away! http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e339/pochicken/DSCN0292_zpscc0c...

This project has been shelved for a while, however, I want to get it done and out into the garden as I had an important package arrive today (new project thread to start soon, you lucky people) ;) Roof is done and is removable so I can put a tea light in it at night (looks great). The nails and chim...

Your 7/8th videos always make me want to change scale Chris!

Roy is doing a great job with these locos. I am looking forward to seeing the reintroduction of 'Stalwart' as a possible purchase for diesel power on my line.

Thanks.

I called them today to order and asked for the combination lever and union link as this does not come in the kit. I went for the single slide bar as its cheaper and still looks good.

I have seen successful implementations of the Graupner Soud switch module which is normally used in model boats in a RH Criccieth Castle although you would need to get samples of authentic sound for the ultimate experience. Here is a youtube video of an unit on test: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X...

I had a look at my local model shops website and the closest they do is 16 SWG PIANO WIRE which is 1.6256mm. Do I need 17 SWG which is 1.42mm as I can't find 1.5mm on the net?

Cheers Tag.

My SL (like my railway) is still very much in progress, however, the cut down buffer beam does make a big difference in my humble opinion so thanks for the compliment. :)
