Any chance of some pics of the raw item to compare with the summerlands offering? I don't understand why you want these, James. after all it's the sound that matters, isn't it? We don't compare ourselves with Summerlands because we have been successfully selling into the UK market for quite a few y...

Yes it is. Also known as ,"The beast of Blackburn." So far I've fitted a RC Bangham whistle and 1/2"diameter presure gauge. I still have to fit rc to the regulator and reverser.

Ideas you can use

I am currently fettling an Edrig and thought that some of the improvements may be of interest. If you have access to a lathe then rather than buy one of those out of character safety valve covers, why not turn down the centre section to do away with that boring look? Control knobs can be turned down...

Glad you got the bogies OK Mike. Ian Sarcast bogies now assembled and fitted to the ,"B," class wagon I'm building. I've modelled the version currently running on the WHR and converted to carry bicycles and luggage. http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/3032/dscf1324j.jpg http://img22.imagesha...

I agree and to paraphrase the quote.

Mike, Whats the rough cost including parts for fitting an r/c whistle into say a run of the mill lady anne ? Hello James The problem with the Lady Anne is that the cab is very small. Fitting the whistle in manual form is tight. I'd need to have a look at it. Also depends upon which RC system you're...

Mike, Just noticed this post and particularly like the fluorescent tube cab lighting system installed on the Rolt! Your Garratt mods are interesting, particularly given my experience of getting mine to work reasonably well. I fitted a DJB gas tank water heater and now have that open when I initiall...

Thanks Mike for the response :) Would you consider doing a DIY kit again or advising how much this costs to have fitted by yourself generally? Cheers, Hello TomTom I can't see it being able to be a DIY fit. As to doing the fit for you I'm sorry that I'm overworked as it is at present. Couple with t...

Hi Mike, Have you fitted a blow down system like you get on the Accucraft loco's or is it just a different lubricator drain plug so as you say they don't burn their hands? I think that's the only thing missing from current Roundhouse loco's as it's great at the end of the run to blow down and watch...

Mike, how do you find the steaming performance with the chuff pipe? That chimney is quite narrow, and the chuff pipe obstructs quite a bit of it. Obviously it works, but do you find the burner performance any different, or that more exhaust is escaping out the drain at the bottom of the smokebox ra...
