Re: What to do on a sunny day?
That’s such a great line. Pity it’s so far away though, so I will have to make do with the one at Southport Model Engineering, it does have three tracks, 32mm, 45mm, and one for the bigger gauge too.

Re: airbrush
You are so right Tom, what’s the point of having “Shelf Queens” I run mine, when my track is down, to run on it and not collect dust. And it is always best to wear a proper mask, mine is a double filter one. The only time I had those “cheap dust masks” is when my grandson did a little bit of sprayin...

Re: IP Engineering Albert
Love those little extra details on the buffers Rik.
Just read the blog and you have made the build even easier for people with little or no experience in building kits. You are correct about encouraging new people into 16mm, it is a cheap and easy build.
Thanks Rik.

Re: The Potters Orchid Railway
Just read your thread and like others, I LOVE IT…the building of the track work has been so impressive. Oh how I long to be able to have a more permanent line. The winding track is brilliant and now you are putting those huge stones there, it will give people the impression of a mountain side track ...

Looks ok to me Derek. So what if it’s bit shaky, who cares. You have a brilliant line and some awesome rolling stock.

Will post some photos hopefully of your concrete paint please Tom.

Re: RWLR - Robin Wood Light Railway
Toned the roof down as it was too plastic looking even though it is plastic! 20180719_175425-01.jpeg I don't like the colour of the concrete foundations of the water tower either so trying to get a colour I like (you can see the lighter colour on one of the corners). It's been very hot lately so ca...

Re: REBIRTH OF FWLR
You can Ian, it’s a simple step to take, because if it doesn’t look right you can then alter it to suit has it starts to grow.
And like you say, you can run trains whenever you want to.
It saves you fuel money too….I’am not a tight person honestly…..

Re: REBIRTH OF FWLR
Felt I needed to post this photo so you can get some idea on how far I got before my unwanted visit to the hospital this last week. DSCN3591.JPG At the top end of the garden, it is only going to be about 5’’ high, mainly because the garden going to the back of the house is roughly about 12 to 18 inc...

Re: airbrush
Unless you are manufacturing rolling stock or anything else for that matter, an airbrush kit is a lot of money to pay for something that won’t be used on a regular basis. My advice is, unless you really need to get an airbrush I would save my money and buy something else. There is of course not just...

Re: airbrush
Well I have had an airbrush now for over 10 years and I find them ok, but, this is a big BUT….the hassle of getting the brush set up and then cleaning it throughly is hardly worth the expense guys. Airbrushes are mainly used by professionals, like nail artistes and such like, the smaller ones are go...
