Is there any difference between old (including Playmobil (electric LGB track) and new LGB track? It seems quite similar in color, size and texture on pictures but is it?
(I can buy some cheap track that came with an old Playmobil set, that's why I ask.)

So on the one hand, first time, I good really awesome service to be fair - I mean within a year, fixed/warrantied. Awesome. But the quality of 'finished products' was a concern. It shouldn't have happened. Can it be that the current owner is a trader by trade without much if any experience with mac...

... and also how the design could actualy be good in the view of 'Mamod' carrying a derisory tone to it. That I still don't understand. One of the first things I noticed when I got interested in 16mm scale was that not much, if any, in a garden railway has the same scale and from what I've read th...

I think you have overdone it a bit, the trains run from return loop to return loop. There isn't much space left for rustic scenes. This was one of my concerns.... I want enough loops to enable running of multiple locos easily, but enough space so it's able to feel rustic. Why not using double track...

Tiny pictures and lack of description, what is it with these kind of internet shops? Don't they want to sell or what? NDM-6 The most successful diesel on the DHR and the fleet of six are still providing the current main motive power £350 double motor Such descriptions really want me to hit the BIN b...

Of course, you get what you pay for. I find that no excuse especially because were not talking about a cheap toy. £300 or so is a lot of money in my book. Mamod has been making locomotives since 1979 and if they still can't make a flawless loco in 2013 then they're either incompetent or they don't ...

The chicken feeder in the Pdf file is a nice design and with my Salem coal bunker I can hide the fuel tank there. Quite some work, but I like alcohol better than gas. Alcohol is cheaper and it's silent. (besides the Saito vaporising burners) I so dislike the noise some gas burners make! A steam engi...

Re: Meths Burner Comparison
So having decided to reserve my accumulation of solid fuel for my stationary steam engines I decided to do a timed session with a meths burner for a comparison in the same loco. I used my best meths burner, an IP Eng 3 wick burner originally fitted to an IP Jane, which has the best type of chassis ...
