I started off by having a servo for the regulator as well as the reverser but, as mine was one of the older Ragleths with the smaller side tanks (so no room for batteries in front of the gas tank) and also because I'm not a great fan of extra holes in the cab floor, I fashioned a bracket to hold a s...

There is insufficient space left below the cab floor to fit an Orange RX receiver plus a 4 x AAA battery holder. Looks like I have no option other than to fit the receiver or battery holder inside one of the side tanks to keep everything R/C on-board (been previously running it with the battery hol...

Why not buy them directly from Mamod? They're gauge adjustable.

Can you tell me where this filler is located ? The blanking plug on the top of the turret if you've got one. Sure you can fill it through the safety valve instead, but why bother? I'd just put down the safety valve cover and forget where I'd put it. I don't know, but suspect, that Roundhouse instru...

The later Billy (and Lady Anne - they use the same boiler) I'm going to correct myself. This is based on the early Lady Anne (1998) and later Billy (2009) that I've had. Both locos have boilers with the same physical dimensions but where the Lady Anne has to be filled through the safety valve (the ...

It would be hard to fit a sight gauge as there aren't the necessary openings on a Billy's boiler backplate. It obviously could be done but wouldn't be easy. One alternative would be to purchase a Silver Lady boiler from Roundhouse as I believe the Lady Anne and Billy have the same boilers. Expensive...

At the moment the garden rail loco market seems to be changing, which means you may be entering it at just the right time. The major manufacturers appear to be aiming more and more at the expensive end of the market. As has been said elsewhere, its been a while since either Regner, Accucraft or Roun...
