Hi Brian, Folks, Thanks for the comment regarding the wiring. It is not strictly accurate but the result was as close as I could get it and have it still work. The lines are made from fine brass rod that I pre-bent, soldered together and CA-ed to the insulators. I then soldered the lamp leads and th...

It looks like a great contest to have, but right now I can't go the 28 pounds to join the society before I can enter. Sorry, not at this time, William.

Thanks for the thoughts, though.

Good Evening Folks,

Thanks for the kind words about the shed and my humble efforts.
They are much encouraging.

William; I didn't know about the "virtual" model contest at the Peterborough show. How do I find out info regarding this program?

Thanks again everyone,

Hi again fellow modellers, Okay, well, I wanted an interesting look on the main structure gable ends so I decided to plank the ends with boards that represent Western Red Cedar that has aged down some. (This being a typical siding material in this area.) I used different stain colors to show how hea...

Hello Rob,

You might give a shout to the folks at Model Earth (Si and Rob) as they did a Baldrig/Billy conversion a few years ago that was fantastic and I'm sure they would be more than happy to help answer questions you might have.

Hello Tom, I've also found that if you etch the tin in vinegar it will give a patina of rust after a few hours which should keep it from further rusting if you seal it with a clear dull lacquer. As I live in a fair dry environment I'm not sure this will work the same in your area. I like the progres...

Hello Keith, Folks, I'm working on a small Ford based lokie that is loosely based on the Ashio Ford. It will use an Aristo power truck for the motor and mech. The pdf shows my friend Bill Martinsen's cad of it. I also have a Bachmann Davenport that is being converted to a Deutz-esque lokie similar t...
