Hi
Yes, the cylinders are unchanged but the port plate has been slightly altered. The ports have been very slightly enlarged and, again very slightly, repositioned.
Kind regards
Roy

Hello
Yes, the cab with roof is available either bare metal or powder-coated blue or green (with a black roof). It can easily be painted any colour using Halfords amazing spray cans because it doesn't get hot. Details are on the website

Hello all Following the very positive reception of my Salem video a couple of weeks or so ago, I thought I'd post a link to a video taken today of my manual Janet running rather nicely. Apart from a few cosmetic additions, my later type of cylinders and a Summerlands Chuffer it's completely standard...

Salem diesel from RWM
My apologies to Big Jim for not replying earlier
I hadn't planned to make Salem available as a kit however, I am always prepared to listen to what customers want. I'm not sure that I can offer a huge saving though.

Roy

My apologies. Thanks for pointing out my error. As you say, the light engine is not quite the heavy load I suggested! I'm sorting out the video now and will post a message when it's done. It's the first video I've posted and I seem to have made just about every mistake thast's possible. It will get ...

Good morning all Some of you will be aware that I have been developing a much revamped version of the Salem battery operated diesel loco. It's been a much longer process than I expected but it is now nearly ready. I gave the almost finished prototype a really severe test a couple of days ago and the...

Good morning all and in particular Chris from France I'm sorry you haven't heard back from me. I have tried to email you with the answer to your last email but all the emails I sent have been bounced back to me - and I have tried at least 12 times using all my computers and different email addresses...

Hi In the order they appear, the coaches are Brandbright PS19, PS21, PS18. The PS19 and PS18 I bought secondhand some time ago and revamped them a little. They are the older version before they went over to laser cutting. The other coach I bought as a new laser cut kit from their stand at Stoneleigh...

new bling for Mamods
Hi Garrett
Thanks for the kind comments. I know what you mean about not being flat. That's why I use the best caster I know - he knows what he's doing and they really are flat on the back.

Roy

new bling for Mamods
Good evening all In a blaze of self-publicity I'd like to draw attention to the fact that I have just obtained a couple of new castings to suit Mamods etc. Firstly, I have a new dummy cab rear coal door casting and secondly a new design of mutli-height coupling. Both of these feature rather neat and...

Jane / Janet v Mamod / MSS cab
Sorry folks, I've only just caught up with this topic. I have Janet style cab backs which appear not to have been on my list. They are now - at £10 each.
Hope this helps

Good evening all I thought that you might like to know that I've posted a couple of photos on the website (www.roywoodmodels.com) of a Janet with one of my cabs fitted. I think it looks rather nice but then I would wouldn't I? These will of course fit Mamods and Janes too. On the subject of syringes...

Hi Don't want to do myself out of a possible sale, but you don't need to tip the loco up to drain the lubricator. We have a very simple syringe that will empty the water out of the lubricator. As you will know, the still very useful oil sits on top of the water so with the syringe you can get under ...

Thanks for the messages everyone Firstly, the standard burner of Janets is the drilled metal box but I can supply a ceramic one. The ceramic one does sit a little higher between the frames and is a bit more expensive. Personally, I'm not convinced they are worth the extra cost but am open to persuas...

Hello all
This is just a quick update to say that my website is now up and running and can be found at www.roywoodmodels.co.uk
I have been actively pursuing some of the ideas that you have put forward and some of these will find their way into production before long.
Kind regards
Roy Wood

Good morning all I'm really heartened by the interest in my new activities and items. Please keep suggestions for new items rolling in. I can't promise to do everything of course. In the meantime, I have no details of a tender but it sounds like a good idea. Also, I have no details on a dome either....

What a good job Peter has made of Ruth Ann. As I've been mentioned in several of the replies and have been having an email conversation with Peter, I thought I ought to mention that I can supply many of the spares and upgrades for Mamod/MSS/IP Jane and, of course, my own ex-PPS Janet. I have a curre...
