Re: Mark 2 Baby Garratt

Hi all,

Just to inform you that no. 17 is no longer available.

A K1 and a 7/8ths version will have pictures soon (these have been already sold but may appear in the future).

Re: (WH)WHR Rolling Stock

Looking great Andrew.
I promise to do a historic NWNGR/WHR photoshoot tomorrow for everyone on this forum!
What red are you using for the waggons? I'm using the light grey for some WHR wagons but I want to do some in the red as a difference.

Re: (WH)WHR Rolling Stock

So what's the green used on the Colonel Stephens livery? Nobody seems to know what the actual colour is used on the Ffestiniog railway today. John I'm using Humbrol 76 and 100 for the Col. Stephens livery. This seems to be roughly correct, the carriages seem to weather pretty quick in the Welsh Sun...

Oh be still my aching wallet!

Presumably it they can’t be regauged to 45mm?
Unfortunately not, the Garratt's would be too wide otherwise.

Re: (WH)WHR Rolling Stock

My current wagon projects, the van and open, have now received a coat of WHR red paint. I need to make some new stencils for the lettering now
A distinct lack of pictures is evident...
Has anyone manager to find any interior details for the NWNGR brake vans?

Re: (WH)WHR Rolling Stock

Having stock just sit in the morning sun is atmospheric in itself! They're currently sat there, might run an engine (Model Tryfan probably but Yeo could do with some more running in...) whilst I carry on with some wagonry; currently building a WHR bolster set and a NWNGR brake van! Both of these are...

Re: Ffestiniog Brake Van Drawings

Number 7 and 6 have the same dimensions. The balconies were roughly the same size for the two, so you could just mirror your drawing of van 6?

Re: Mark 1 Baby Garratt

Thanks guy's!
Must admit I don't particularly like blue engines, but this blue (and Oxford blue) do look good when lined correctly on some locomotives.

Re: (WH)WHR Rolling Stock

Looks awesome Andrew! Will be looking at doing the two plank wagons at some point. One thing we're working on at the moment is maintenance; some carriages are looking tired. Examples include the VoR carriages and the IP "big" Festiniog carriages. I'm thinking of repainting these out of the Victorian...
