Top video. The steam in the winter sunshine, the workworn rolling stock...very atmospheric. The trackwork looks so convincing.

Excellent pictures. Especially liked the method of getting the roof to take shape. I did something similar with an IP atlantic buffet coach. Still couldn't get the roof to hold a curve. Thought 'I know, i'll put the roof in a warm oven for a minute or two. ............Doh! It now has a wooden...

As someone who has always pushed for rail investment before road I'm pulled both ways on this , but on balance i would prefer to see a big commitment to conventional rail services rather than 'one off' flash harry projects. I've also got serious reservations about ripping up more of the landscape- a...

If you hear of any one chucking out an old piano ask if you can have the weights under the keys. I've salvaged a few hundred of these -
I have sometimes had old pianos given to me in the course of my work- and the weights are small so can be useful for weighting even small scale stock.

A brilliant refurb and a huge improvement with the cab on.
You took some brave steps there and it's paid off handsomely.

There was a British narrow gauge railway company which operated for less than a decade, on two different gauges. It used no locomotives, self-propelled railcars, cable or animal power (except for handraulic shunting) but managed to achieve speeds of 60mph on tests. Two examples of rolling stock sur...
