Lady Anne Kit; Axle Problems

Hello all! I've been away for a bit to concentrate on other matters but I'm back. And, I've recently acquired an old Lady Anne kit (ca. 1990). I'm still early in the construction but I've run into a couple of small issues. First of all, the bushings are not so easy of a press fit into the frame as t...

Just assembled my chassis this past weekend. Love it! All the tabs helped it go together smoothly, the mechanism runs like a watch... just have to figure out what kind of body to put on it. I know someone who will be getting more of my money.

Placed an order for one and some bits and pieces yesterday. I think I'm going to try and use it as a universal chassis with interchangeable bodies.

I think it's worth the price, though you may want to make it optional like you do with the electrics. (Just placed an order for a chassis and some parts, btw. Looking forward to it.)

I'm also intrigued by this. The beauty of this to me is that it would be instantly available - no worrying about batteries, water, butane. Count me interested.

Nice weathering! I've never found a need to weather when I run outdoors, so it always strikes me as odd that someone should. But given the situation. I've been watching this little line develop since it was first announced and so far pretty amazing!

I have a confession to make. The first time I watched the video was after the Toronto-Montreal match and I had more than a little liquid celebration in me. I honestly thought in that state of mind that it was an actual rat. Well done!

It's not for Millie specifically, but I hacked together a tender for my Ruby for the same reason; to give it more of a presence. Technically it's an auxiliary tender but it spends most (all) of it's time behind Ruby. If I recall, Millie is a bit more narrow than Ruby, so it may work even better in t...

That is a lovely piece of work. My second hand Millie came with a nice carrying case but my Ruby rides in a large plastic bin which also totes my oil, gas, water, tools, etc. It's not luxurious but it works.

Very nice start; it's neat and tidy, I like that. I've been thinking of doing something alike but my project list is pretty full at the moment.

Fantastic! Thanks!

When I got my Ruby first built I had to wait a couple months for replacement parts as I accidentally broke three components in a row; one right after the other and within days of the previously ordered replacement part coming in. I'm a little cautious with these things.

Roundhouse Valve Chest; Is It Broken?

Afternoon all, With her ladyship ill and messy roads outside, this afternoon I set about servicing my second hand Millie (built 02/99) which I purchased last year. I had ordered a cylinder service kit to replace some well deteriorated O rings on the valve spindles and so began by disassembling for a...

45mm. I started with 45mm for a few reasons. First, I was working in 1:24 at the time and even though I was relatively wealthy compared to my current situation, I decided to start on a budget with the cheap, four wheel line from Hartland which is 45mm. Also at that time I was pretty much headed towa...

Wow, this is a thread I'm now watching just to see what you can do in that space. I don't think I've ever seen a balcony based line before. Good for you for taking the challenge! As a side bonus, I know some people have had problems of theft from their line. I think you'll be pretty safe. There's no...

Many thanks for your response, it's appreciated. It's almost been a week since we got the news and I'm starting to feel like I can handle it at this point.
