You forgot the umlaut.  Mädchen. And I'm not entirely convinced by the 'rotkopf' description either.... I see no red hair!   Lol! The loco is named Rotkopf Mädchen -- there is a mountain in the Zillertal region called Rotkopf and it's also named for my literary heroine -- Anne of Green Gables :)

Hopefully PeachBottom will see your posting and similarly get some replacement wheels from Dream Steam for her problem MSS loco kit.

If the 1:1 Linda (mother) is just under 5 foot that means that the 1:1 Linda locomotive including tender behind is almost exactly 7 Linda (mothers) long.

Hope this helps.

Linda's just under 5 foot tall. ....oh. You didn't mean my mom...... ;) Just to clarify, that's with her tender behind??? If the weather holds long enough to lay track this evening, and in the absence of any other responses, it looks like the length of my headshunt will be determined by the height ...

Wheels?

We bought a Mamod kit at Peterborough and after putting it together and giving it trials at both Dave Mees line and Llechfan, it's become obvious that the wheels are slightly out of gauge. Any suggestions for where to source better wheels from? I purchased my kit from Dreamsteam, but I worry if I bu...

We block booked 25 rooms this year, but they were all on the association bill for various board members/layout staff/etc...
