Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library

Well Rik you have certainly given me a lot to think about  For someone who still uses a "flip-phone" (that's me!) it might well appear that I may be getting in over my head by using Sheets. Really appreciate your honest assessment and I'll think on it some more--- I don't usually giv...

Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library

Hi Rik -- Just wondering? I've been happily and successfully using your original Freight Manager program for several years so I'm not sure if I should try a switch to your new version. I've watched your video and have read your thorough blog entry about it so I sort of understand why you created it....

Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library

You may be humble Rik but please have no doubt that you have a natural knack and a special gift for story-telling while at the same time educating all who read and listen to any of the many subjects that make up this wonderful hobby of ours. Please never stop.

Nothing "samey" at all --- not only am I now waiting (impatiently  ) for Part 3 but also for Parts 4, 5, 6, etc.

Ditto's all around along with Peter. Very envious of how easy you seem to make videos not only come together but constantly improve. Waiting for Part 2 with baited breath. ;) :D

Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library

A lovely video Rik -- enjoyable and very relaxing. Besides having a wealth of locos to choose from for your running sessions, (if I hadn't said it before) your layout is a genuine pleasure to ride about. I never tire of seeing you loving your trains "puttering" in their world. Thanks. Mike

Re: The Waldeker EisenBahn

Thanks Aaron. But you are perfectly correct --- upkeep is tough especially since everything except the trains stays outside 24/7 and 365 a year. As all of us know Mother Nature can be very cruel. In fact I am now in the slow process of refurbishing many of the buildings, etc. throughout the layout. ...

Re: Ludwig Gross Betriebe Werkslok battery conversion

Your engine is an LGB 20620. If you want to see a blow up diagram of all your engines parts, it may help in locating the points/places you want to disassemble. To see those diagrams go to "trainli.com" and look at their LGB Parts PDF's. Then scroll down to your engine number "20620&qu...

Really nice and well made building -- should last a long time. Like Rik, I do find your windows intriguing. They appear to be homemade, and if they are, I would enjoy knowing your process -- especially if I could follow and make my own. Thanks!

Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library

I think (without thinking :D ) we just naturally gravitate to an engine or train that approaches our ideal of "perfection" --- an engine that runs, sounds, responds exceptionally well or a train that projects an exceptionally wholesome look about it or fits so well into the "home"...
