Morning all, like a proper railway messroom in here. Just to clarify I'm still about & haven't done one. Just way too busy these days with young family life & access to the site via mobile phone (which is what I usually only have when I get time) is painful to say the least. I use FB as it's...

Glad he arrived ok, he has had a bit of an extended trip. After spending 3 weeks lost in the postal office of a Birmingham lawfirm..(last time I ask my wife to post something for me) . Managed to get him back & then our new daughter was born so he got caught up in that too. Must get round to wri...

Not really sure? Have family history(mothers english side) that worked on the railway from the year dot. But wasn't influenced by them as I grew up the other side of the planet in Oz. Then again one of the houses we lived in near Innisfail had the ocean one side & the main railway the other. Cou...

I'm firmly RC, I do run manual loco's as well (until I can get them RC'd). But aside from my Regner Chaloner they don't give me as much satisfaction as the RC ones. I just prefer to drive my loco's directly. When running on my own a normal run would consist of shunting, trip working from point to po...

My first was a DT 175 Yamaha, although I wasn't allowed a motorbike so had to hide it at friends house. First car was a 1985 MG Metro that was only 4 years old at the time & very clean....Was that is. Spent a lot of the time having to park it hard up against the hedge at home to avoid parents se...

That is truly stunning, amazing canyon style cuttings & water feature. You would need skills of a mountain goat to reach parts of that. Wonder if any earth faults have occurred, if so I bet the wreckage was bad.

As has been said, Mr Isle arrived here last week & after a short break relaxing (& having his head re-attached) will be inspecting the CVLR shortly. Actually when we get some decent weather & can run stuff without the wind blowing the stock about really. Plus he has plans to inspect anot...

I was 40 in August last year...What are you bunch on about, I'm planning on making my line lower, it's ground level now but I've shaken off the dread of having a 4 & a zero in my age bracket so I'm going to have it underground with lots of awkward access areas. Being 40 is great, the last 4 year...

Thanks to a heads up from Mr Huss I have just dropped in here, late I'm afraid. But no Mr Isle has arrived on the CVLR as of yet? Is he lurking to make a surprise visit when we are doing something rather risky in train running?

Updates to Boc's bank almost completed. The aim to make the steepest gradient on the line & a place for nedding steam loco's working hard (or manual ones running away down the bank) look more pleasing to the eye. Will post some pics later but in a rush so heres a link of a little video I did to ...

Cheers for the replies guys, must say that nature has done more work on the line than I have this year thanks to the weather... Earlier someone was out spotting the last train of 2012 (well 1958 actually). In other words I have finally weathered the wriggly tin vans I built in august & the new b...

I see no furniture that can be adapted to an ad-hoc bed! Therefore I refuse to sign this box! Looks superb already, nice one. Are we going to see 16mm tomato plants to bask in the sunlight of the box windows?
