Paving and walling look good,that surplus KDS on the surface will soon settle...it's keeping the pesky weeds out of the tiny gap between blocks that will test your patience!

Well, it looks like its most likely going to be the Ditton Meadow Light Railway. DMLR. However,I would suggest that you break those bricks up into smaller pieces...the theory is that the smaller the hardcore content,the less likelyhood of the substrate holding gaps that will cause the top surface to fail. As a beginner in garden railways,perhaps my viewpoint will be of interest. I would love live steam,but the price is off putting. I consider myself to be a reasonable DIY person,I avoid taking any of my cars to a garage as far as possible and I have almost finished re-building our retirement home.......
