Thanks for the very positive replies guys. As soon as the wedding (8 weeks away) and Christmas are done I'll be saving for one.

Glad you're keeping well.

I certainly will be getting one ordered as soon as my wedding and Christmas are done with.

After seeing swordbreaker at Peterborough I'd love to see it run.

Janet questions

Now we all know the troubles that one can have with a mamod or mss loco but will the problems still occur with a janet? by problems i mean loose wheels, gauge glass leaking and so on. im looking at buying a janet some time in the near future but before i do i would love some reasurance from you guys...

A little update from the line. As the weather has been pretty good the line has been running a daily service with one of the tree resident battery electrics taking it turns to do a week each. The line will hold its first open day this saturday 22nd for the East Riding and Wolds 16mm group. A crane h...

not much happening on the line recently, i have started a branch line off the main loop where a joint between tenmille track and peco is hoped to be made. thank you for your kind replies. The line is getting to a stage where im happy with it now. As you say it blends the line in well and doesnt stick out like a sore thumb which it used to before ballast.

mamod out of the works

after last weeks lineside fire which burnt one side of the mamod it was in need of a repaint so whilst i was at it i decided to do the cosmetic work i have wanted to do on it for a while. I've just started laying track on my little layout. All I did was screw the track down,onto concrete blocks,using wall plugs. Then ballast the track using a b&q green alpine stone( it's not green, but grey) , so far it's worked, but iam still learning myself. what did you use to hold the ballas...
