Yeah, the trams are great especially the iconic W class.
There is another guy in Melbourne who has modelled a tram system in his back yard.

Excellent. well done. I also had to look twice at the No 3 pic. I thought it was a real life. The Bendigo trams still run and it is well worth a visit.

Postholes have to be transported with extreme care.
There have been reports of trucks & trains getting wheels stuck in ones which have fallen off.

You could creatively use both gauges in your town/layout say one for the wharf area and another for the town area, or use the optical illusion of distance to make the gauges look the same. I had not seen the steeple cab Loco before. It also runs well. Mine does not rely on any cells at all, but I can connect in batteries for indoor or cloudy days.
