Yeah, the trams are great especially the iconic W class.
There is another guy in Melbourne who has modelled a tram system in his back yard.

You could creatively use both gauges in your town/layout say one for the wharf area and another for the town area, or use the optical illusion of distance to make the gauges look the same. Meccano wheels work great, Annie, I used them on my solar tram

The key for mine needs a triangle shaped key which is a bit more of a challenge.

Great Ideas Tony, & gets the kids into trains early as well.

I had not seen the steeple cab Loco before. It also runs well. Mine does not rely on any cells at all, but I can connect in batteries for indoor or cloudy days.
