Something I've found to be useful with the water gauge I fitted to my Millie: if (sorry, when) the gauge glass gets blocked, the easiest way to clear it quickly is to take out the top plug (the one you inserted the gauge glass through) and squirt water down the gauge glass, using your filler bottle....

You will also find she'll run much more smoothly when she's on some track. I don't know why this should be, but it's certainly true!pauly wrote:she is very stiff and clunkey at the moment but will improve with running in

Great pictures - you've mastered the art of taking pictures at night more than I have with the new camera, but I'm sure I'll get there! BTW, still can't see the MDLR's permanent way - I'll have to do some serious scraping and shovelling if I want to run a train today (which I may well want to do lat...
