andel coaches
Hi all,
In now very near to finishing two andel 2 compartment panel coaches, these have been a joy to build, they went together very easily and painting them componentised made it very easy to get a nice contrasting color scheme.
I have a little work to do on the roofs (I modified these to be removable) then they will get new couplings, brass door handles (as an upgrade to the wooden ones supplied) and then a very light weathering.

Put that light out!
I like Andel kits, making 3 at present purchased at Llanfair, only 2 main problems for me, far too light, I've added 300gr of lead flashing and the wheelbase is far too long, so I've shortened that as I run R2's with a few R1's, here is the first to be finished, at £25 a kit its great value and looks the part
Alec, NE Wales weekdays and TLHC corner at weekends
They look really good TLHC, I agree with the weight issue, I have added quite a few car wheel weights (the sticky back type for alloys) to the bottoms of mine, it transformed the running, I'm planning on metal centre couplings as well and I'm hoping that it will help with shunting around sharp corners.
It would be nice if they offered an option of metal wheels for an additional cost.
