Identify the steam loco?

Post by pskipper » Fri Aug 15, 2014 8:42 pm

Just out of idle curiosity can anyone identify the two loco's at the back of this line up, the first two are obviously kerr stuart wren's (crossed with a garden shed).

Also I don't know my military railways very well so would love to know what D.E.S stands for?

Thanks,

Philip

The third one looks like a Bagnall... akin to Woto, Sybil and Pixie
No one expects the SPANISH ACQUISITION!!!

I fancy the fourth one looks a wee bit like a Hughes. (Compare it with TR No.3)

The fourth engine looks like a Fowler product to me.

It is hard to tell in the picture. I don't suppose anyone has issue 148 (1997) of industrial rail record as the porton military railway is supposed to be fully documented in that and it hopefully would have what the 4th loco is?

Personally I think the mystery fourth engine may be a Hudswell Clarke...
