Scorton Bank Railway 10th Anniversary

Whilst others went to the Far East, many of the NWAG avoided a 3 1/2 hour drive and met at the Scorton Bank Railway to celebrate its 10th Anniversary. This line is in a delightful setting by the River Wyre, with the West Coast Main line close by, and has evolved continuously, from a simple circuit to a line with a return loop and branch into a large shed, all delightfully laid out and planted. With over 80 pics and videos to look through, I'm not going to put a full set on now, but here is a taster. Hopefully, a full set of pics should be posted by the middle of next week (I've got various things happening over the next couple of days)

Gwydion passes through Wyre Bay

A good vintage..... Lady Jayne is still in the area with its owner after the C&D last weekend, here it leads Sir Robin on a 9 coach train through Wyre Bay

Finally got time to post the rest of the SBR photos, after visits to 5 inch gauge railways, job interviews and a day spent burning stuff....

PTLRcecil's Caradoc continued its world tour of NWAG, it is starting to rack up a large mileage this year.

FR Thunderbolt was able to make an NWAG steamup for the first time this year. He bought along two locos, here the Millie takes the mixed passenger rake.

PTLRcecil also bought along Sir Robin.

Another loco raking up the miles is Matt's Gwyn Murphet.

The Earl with the L&B train. A model of the GWR owned prototype, owned by the LMS, and hauling SR stock....

I also gave Owain a rare run out, since the SBR suits it rather well, here it is at the house end of the line.

Last train of the day was the resident Roundhouse William as things quietened down.
Thanks to SBR Arthur for a superb afternoon, here's to the next 10 years of the SBR.
